MCA Art Award 2011
A much anticipated and hotly contested annual event at the Sydney Gallery School , the Meadowbank College Association Art Award is imminent. Exhibited in the See Street Gallery, and now in its 21st year, the Award offers Fine Arts students an opportunity to compete for $2000 in prize money. Divided into a $1000 first prize, $500 second prize and $100 prize for each Fine Arts discipline, this year it will be judged by Alison Clark, Curator from Willoughby Council Incinerator Art Space.
Winners will be announced at the opening on Wednesday 7th September, 5.30 – 7.30 pm. The exhibition offers the opportunity for the local community to purchase from an interesting and diverse range of student work, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and printmaking.
The exhibition runs until 22nd September. The See Street Gallery is located in See Street, Meadowbank. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 11.00 am – 4.00pm. Enquiries: 9942 3686 or 99423682.
